Description

This collection of short stories is based on Sheila McMillan's experiences trying to fit in as a 'proper' clergy wife in a country town in Northern Ireland. It was the 1970s, a time when the Troubles cast their shadow over every corner of the province, but the unrest is touched on only briefly and without bias. The focus is on amusing episodes as Sheila and William take up their duties in the community while bringing up a family of four children.
