For many years, Mission and Discipleship Council development workers have collected and developed resources, activities, thought-provoking questions, exercises and reflections that have encouraged and inspired individuals, groups and congregations. This resource brings together 50 group activities with a track record of helping people to share personal experiences of faith and spirituality, engage with scripture in fresh ways, discuss congregational health and planning, discern the way forward for their group or church, solve problems together, re-envision their part in God's mission. Often involving a lot of fun, they offer valuable tools in faith formation and nurturing healthy Christian community in six areas: * Reflecting on our faith * Knowing one another * Understanding our communities * Exploring our cultures * Discerning our future * Learning from our experiences Each activity comes complete with facilitators' notes and `sample menus' for retreats and conferences.
