After a face-to-face meeting between Brown and Ruth, the deal was sealed as Anthony was floored by her voice, energized by her potential and agreed. Not only did Brown produce, he also wrote seven songs, co-wrote one with Ruth and another with his production partner Justin Savage; thus the album I Got You was born! The first radio single "Kingdom," with its universal appeal, immediately grabbed the attention of gospel radio programmers out the gate earning 11 adds, becoming the Billboard Gospel Most Added Song! Further, from the title track " I Got You" that borrows from the hit sounds of the 60's to the soulful songs of "Safe" & "Come Through" an undeniable signature sound was created.
